Man and Former Prison Guard Busted in Cottonwood with 1,000 Fentanyl Pills

Cottonwood police arrested two people who allegedly were in possession of more than one thousand fentanyl pills. According to Cottonwood police, officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of main street and highway 260 just after 9:30 p.m. Monday. Officers searched the car and discovered 1,035 fentanyl pills, along with seven grams of fentanyl powder and 15 grams of meth. A handgun was also found during the search.

The driver, 25-year-old Ryan Epperson, was arrested on numerous drug and weapons charges. His passenger, 47-year-old Deanna Epperson-Fleming, a former state corrections officer, was also arrested on several drug and weapons charges.
