While the Prescott and Bradshaw Mountain boys’ basketball teams engaged in a close battle Thursday night, the opposite was true on the girls’ side. The Lady Badgers took on the Lady Bears under the dome and jumped out to a 17-4 lead in the first quarter. Bradshaw Mountain could not catch up, and Prescott got the win 50-24.

Bella Abt led the Lady Badgers offensively with 17 points. Addie Prisciandaro posted 15 points, and Rylee Hobson netted ten points. Giselle Serrano tallied five points for Bradshaw Mountain.

Prescott is 6-2 in Grand Canyon Region play, and Bradshaw is 3-4 in the region. This was the first time the Lady Badgers have beaten the Lady Bears in region play in nine years. Both squads are in action tonight, with Prescott at Lee Williams and Bradshaw Mountain at Flagstaff.
