The City of Prescott will host a household hazardous waste collection event for residential trash customers from March 4 through March 29 to allow them the opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted household hazardous waste.
Pre-registration is required as the city is contracting with an outside company to collect these items. Commercial accounts or community dumpsters are not eligible for this event.
Accepted materials include, but are not limited to, insecticides, pesticides, gasoline, car batteries, drain and oven cleaners, bleaches, oil-based paints, stains or thinners (5-gallon limit), latex paints (20-gallon limit), adhesives, and non-alkaline batteries. All items must be in a box labeled “HHW” and placed in front of your home 6-10 feet up from your curb so it can be safely and easily seen by our contractor for pickup on your scheduled day.
Residents need to register online by visiting prescottrecycles.com.
