A prescribed burn is scheduled throughout this month in the Bradshaw Ranger District of the Prescott National Forest. Debris piles will be burned in the Prescott Basin area. Smoke may be visible across the Tri-City area. The purpose of this burn is to reduce hazardous fuels following thinning and fuelwood removal operations, aiming to minimize the threat of severe wildfires.
For safety reasons, visitors to Prescott National Forest are requested to adhere to all traffic signs and exercise caution when traveling near prescribed burns, as firefighters and fire-related traffic will be present in the vicinity.
