Prescott Boys Soccer Wins Final Regular Season Match

The final game of the regular season for the Prescott boys soccer team took place on Friday. After coming up short to Flagstaff in overtime in their previous game, the Badgers wanted to close out the schedule on a positive note and try to secure a spot in the state play-in round.

Prescott put up with cold winds, rain, and snow to get in their game with Mingus. The Badgers didn’t let the miserable conditions affect them as they played a stellar defensive game and shut out the Marauders 2-0. Casey DeVito and Cole Schumann were the goal scorers for the Badgers.

The win puts the Badgers’ overall record at 9-7, while their record in Grand Canyon Region play is 3-3. The Badgers are number 24 in the 4-A Conference power point rankings, and the top 24 teams qualify for the post-season. The state play-in round takes place Thursday.
