A positive outcome in the search for an elderly woman who went missing. Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies quickly located a 79-year-old Williamson Valley resident who went missing from her home just before midnight Sunday.
Deputies say the woman’s son reported her missing a few minutes after she left their residence on Poma Circle. The woman suffers from dementia and other health issues. Deputies searched the neighborhood, deployed a drone, and had Forest Patrol on standby. Fortunately, they were able to quickly locate her about one mile from her home. Deputies said she was cold and confused but otherwise in good condition. The woman was transported to the hospital as a precaution.
