Local nonprofit groups can get money from the city of Prescott to help draw more tourists to the area. Beginning March 1, the Prescott Tourism Office will accept applications for tourism grants. The goal of the grant is to encourage event marketing outside the Prescott area and overnight visitation. Tourism grants are funded by the city’s bed tax. The grant is available only to registered nonprofit organizations in Prescott.
The deadline to submit an application is April 5. All applicants must attend a mandatory meeting March 6 at 2:30 p.m. in City Council chambers at 201 North Montezuma Street.
