The state playoff picture is set for our local high school basketball teams this week. The Prescott boys basketball team will compete in the Open Division Tournament with schools from the 4A, 5A, and 6A conferences. First up for the number 24 seed Badgers is number nine Brophy Prep. That game takes place Wednesday at 7 PM in Phoenix, and KYCA will broadcast the game live.

The Prescott girls basketball team goes into the state play-in round as the number 16 seed. They take on Grand Canyon Region rival Coconino, the number 19 seed. The game takes place Thursday at Prescott High School at 7 PM.

Both of Bradshaw Mountain’s teams also have state play-in games this week. The boys are the number 17 seed and will host number 18 Seton Catholic Friday at 7 PM. The girls snagged the final play-in spot at number 25. They are at number ten Eastmark Thursday at 7 PM.

For girls soccer, number three Prescott hosts number 14 Douglas Wednesday at 6 PM. The Bradshaw Mountain boys, who are the number eight seed, host number nine Amphitheater Tuesday at 6 PM in the opening round of state.
