Bradshaw Mt Boys Soccer Hosts First Round State Game Tonight

Last Friday, the Amphitheater Boys Soccer Team defeated Prescott in the state play-in round. Tonight, the Panthers will face another Tri-City area team. They come to Prescott Valley to take on Bradshaw Mountain in the opening round of state. Bears coach Matt Rice says given how Amphitheater played Prescott last week, it should be an even match between the two sides.

Bradshaw Mountain is 11-5 overall on the season and have won seven of their last eight games. They go into the contest as the number eight seed. The Panthers, meanwhile, are 10-6-1 overall and have won three of their last four games, the last two by shutout. They are the number nine seed in the state tournament.

The Bears offense is led by Ethan Smith with 27 goals on the season. He’s followed by Jair Montoya with 15 goals. The Panthers top scorer is Aime Uwimana with 21 goals, while Miguel Estrada had 16 goals. Tonight’s game from Bradshaw Mountain starts at 6 PM.
