Two people were killed in an automobile crash on I-17 Tuesday evening. The Arizona Department of Public Safety and Daisy Mountain Fire Department responded to the crash in the southbound lane near Black Canyon City.

The interstate reopened around 6 p.m., but a separate incident, only described as a “law enforcement incident,” shut down that stretch of the interstate again just before 7:30 p.m. The right lane was reopened around 8:30 p.m. The cause of the fatal crash is not known.
