It appears the Prescott softball team put the entire 4A conference on notice in their very first game of 2024. Despite the not-so-nice weather, the Lady Badgers opened the season at home Wednesday against Peoria. Prescott went on a rampage as they decimated the Lady Panthers 19-0.
R-J Parra got the job done in the circle and at the plate. She tossed a no-hitter, striking out ten, and smacked a home run and drove in five runs. Prescott also went crazy on the basepaths, racking up 18 stolen bases, with Kennedy Carr and Gracie Pereira swiping six apiece.
Riley Crockett scored three runs and drove in two runs. Novella Paul doubled and drove in two runs.
No rest for Prescott after that slugfest as they head down to the valley today to take part in the Sunrise Mountain Invitational.
