Even though it’s winter and there were scattered showers in the Central Highlands Wednesday, wildfires are still a threat.

Early Wednesday afternoon, a wildfire broke out near Cleator. Dubbed the Prospect Fire, it grew to 20 acres. Numerous resources were dispatched to the scene and containment lines were set up. No structures were threatened by the fire, which was determined to be human-caused.
