ERAU Basketball Gets the Better of La Sierra

2/23/24

The Embry-Riddle men’s basketball team had a four-point lead with three seconds left, only to see La Sierra tie the game with a three-pointer and a free throw. That sent both teams into overtime, where the score was tied again with 16 seconds remaining. But Demari Hackett’s free throw proved the difference as the Eagles got the win 78-77 last night. Dennis Pomazanov recorded 18 points and 17 rebounds. Christmas Togiai put up 16 points. Jake Klingler notched 12 points and Connor Ivy registered eleven points.

It was a little less dramatic in the women’s game, as Embry-Riddle rode a 29-point performance in the third quarter to a 68-54 triumph over La Sierra. Zakiirah King garnered 21 points. Liz Behan posted ten points and 12 rebounds. That’s the eighth win in a row for the Lady Eagles.

Both the Riddle men and women finish the regular season tomorrow at Antelope Valley.
