Two prescribed burns are scheduled in the Verde Ranger District of the Prescott National Forest this week. The burns will take place between Dugas Road and Highway 169 Thursday and Friday. More than two thousand acres of grass fuel will be burned to reduce the risk of a wildfire in that area.

Visitors to the national forest are reminded to use caution when traveling through the area of the prescribed burns and to obey all traffic signs.
