ERAU Post-Season Recap; Rock Nat’l Runner-up, Women’s BKB Advances to Cal Pac Championship


Keller Rock won three state championships when he wrestled for Chino Valley High School. On Saturday, he had a chance to add a national championship to his trophy case. The junior from Embry-Riddle pinned his opponent in the 165-pound semi-final match in two minutes and change to move on to the national championship match. But Rock fell to Indiana Tech’s Jonathan Kervin 11-5 to finish as national runner-up and an All-American. Riddle’s Kenneth Copley placed eighth at heavyweight.

To the hardwood, the Embry-Riddle women’s basketball team went into overtime to beat Westcliff 69-61 Saturday in the opening round of the Cal Pac Tournament. Mehgan Strickler posted 14 points and 18 rebounds. Then on Sunday, the Lady Eagles downed Benedictine-Mesa 71-66. Liz Behan garnered 14 points and ten rebounds.

Riddle faces Antelope Valley tomorrow in the Cal Pac Conference championship game.
