Sports Extra, March 4th, 2024; Weekend Scoreboard

Local scoreboard from the weekend, in baseball, Yavapai College swept Eastern Arizona 11-10 and 21-19. Riley Nelson had a two-run bomb in game one. Embry-Riddle drubbed La Sierra 18-10 and 28-4. Drew Barragan had nine RBIs on the day. Prescott downed Seton Catholic 8-6. Adrian Sanderford drove in two runs. Bradshaw Mountain outlasted Paradise Honors 16-15. T.J. Drape had two home runs and five RBIs. Mayer went 0-4 at the PCDS Invitational.

Softball, Yavapai College split with Scottsdale, winning game one 19-4 and losing the second game 7-6. Samara Romero won the first game, striking out nine. Prescott got shut out by Seton Catholic 7-0.

Boys volleyball, Prescott took care of Odyssey Institute 3-1. Quenton Bell posted 27 assists and 22 digs.

Basketball, the Yavapai College men fell to Cochise 72-68 and 88-62. Carter John netted eleven points in the second game. The Yavapai women lost to Cochise 68-54 and 85-54.

Track and field, at the Banner Health Invite, Chino Valley’s Quenton Metz won the boys 16-hundred meter run.
