Human trafficking detectives with the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office made two arrests for sex trafficking last week.
According to YCSO, a Prescott Valley man was arrested Thursday for offering to pay a 16 year old girl money in exchange for sexual acts. PANT Detectives, along with the human trafficking detectives, arrested 41-year-old Charles Mcanally on charges of child sex trafficking.
Then, a concerned citizen contacted YCSO on February 25th regarding a man who she said offered her a date in exchange for sex work. The woman claimed the suspect asked her to perform sex acts with his ten-year old son. The human trafficking detectives tracked the suspect to the Phoenix area and contacted Phoenix PD to assist in finding the man. He was arrested on February 26th.
YCSO officials say these two recent cases make 9 arrests in the past 5 months in Yavapai County that would not have been possible if not for funding from the Arizona legislature for detectives dedicated solely to investigating human trafficking cases.
