Several Yavapai County deputy attorneys have been honored for their work. Kellen Marlow was named the office’s felony prosecutor of the year. During the past year, Marlow has tried a first-degree murder case and several cases of aggravated assault.
Jason Nunez was named the misdemeanor prosecutor of the year. He has been involved in 13 jury trials over the past year.
Karolina Czaplinska received the Excellence in Victim Advocacy Award. She has helped victims overcome many challenges at trial, including communication and speech impediments, memory issues, and mental and behavioral health problems.
Vincent Ware was named the County Attorney’s Office’s rising star for his handling of several difficult cases.
Finally, Dana Owens received the Lifetime Achievement Award for her two decades of service with the Yavapai County Attorney’s Office.
