The offense of the Embry-Riddle baseball team shows no signs of cooling off. They began the week with a rematch against Hastings, who the Eagles walloped 18-6 last Wednesday. This game was also a one-sided affair, with Riddle getting the win 17-7 Monday. Travis Strickler homered and drove in five runs for the Eagles. Luke Jepsen had three RBIs. Javier Izaguirre and Jacob Aguirre both had two RBIs. Six Riddle pitchers combined for eleven strikeouts.
The Eagles have won nine games in a row and are now 16-8 on the season.
So just how good is Embry-Riddle’s offense? They are number one among all NAIA schools in the country in hits with 302, RBIs with 240, runs scored with 266, and total bases with 494.
The Eagles are in California this Friday and Saturday to take on Simpson University.
