He drove from New Mexico to Prescott in hopes of having sex with a 14-year-old girl, but got arrested instead.

According to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, 54-year-old Dominic Ebert from Santa Teresa reportedly sent several sexually explicit audio files along with photos of himself to an the girl and set up a time and place to meet with her. YCSO detectives verified Ebert made reservations at the Prescott Motel 6 to meet with the girl and were waiting for him when he attempted to check in. Ebert was taken into custody at the front desk without incident. Further investigation found Ebert had previously been convicted of similar crimes.

He was booked into Yavapai County jail on charges of luring of a minor for sexual exploitation, aggravated luring of a minor for sexual exploitation, and attempted sexual conduct with a minor.
