Several Local Players Nab All-Region Honors for Girls Basketball


Big awards for a pair of Prescott girls basketball players. Addie Prisciandaro was named the Grand Canyon Region Offensive Player of the Year. She averaged 21 points per game and also had 72 assists. Bella Abt was named the region’s co-defensive player of the year, sharing the honor with Mingus’ Savannah Tobias. Abt recorded 273 rebounds, 87 steals, and ten blocks. In addition, Rylee Hobson was named to the All-Region Second Team. Lily James and “The Gem” Ruby Jensen were honorable mentions. Bradshaw Mountain’s Giselle Serrano and Kalli Smith both made the All-Region Second Team, and Kylie Morris and Tiana Valentin were honorable mentions.

In the 3A North Central Region, Chino Valley’s Danielle Graham and Jaime Felton were named to the All-Region Second Team. Maddie Dey, Aden Hubble, Maddie Metz, Carlee Murphy, and Carlita Trevino were all honorable mentions.

In the 1A Central Region, Mayer’s Dani McCann was the co-region Player of the Year. She averaged 19.1 points per game. Fatima Morales was a First Team selection, and Larissa Dodge and Kallie Bauersachs were Second Team selections.
