The bats of the Bradshaw Mountain baseball team were a bit quiet early in the game. They generated just two runs through the first three innings, which gave St. Mary’s the chance to go up 5-2. Then in the fourth inning, the Bears’ offense really woke up. They pushed eight runs across the plate, and kept adding on the rest of the night. That resulted in a 16-8 triumph for Bradshaw Mountain Monday.
Garison Jones had four hits and four RBIs. T.J. Drape tripled and drove in three runs. Isaiah Avila went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Joshua Wright scored four runs, and Vinny Magdaleno crossed the plate three times.
Bradshaw Mountain is now 7-6 overall on the season. They are off until Saturday when they travel to Kingman for a double-header with Lee Williams. The Bears are home next Tuesday versus Coconino.
