They won their last two matches by 9-0 sweeps. But yesterday, the Prescott boys tennis team got a bit more competition from Eastmark. Three of the six singles matches went to third set tie-breakers… with the Badgers taking all three of them. That aided Prescott in getting the 7-2 victory over the Firebirds.

James Wood dropped the first set of his singles match 6-1 before coming back to win the next two 6-4 and 10-7. Miguel Canales won his first set 6-1, lost the second set 6-4, and dominated the third set 10-3. Nick Thompson won the first set of his singles match 6-4, lost the second set 6-4, and won the third set 10-6.

All three doubles matches ended with a 9-7 score, with Cole James and Landon Fetty and Wood and Thompson winning for Prescott.

The Badgers are 6-0 on the season and host Bradshaw Mountain today.
