3/22/24

It looked like it would be a long and rough day for the Prescott baseball team. They found themselves down 7-0 to Coconino in the top of the second inning of Thursday’s contest. Then the Badgers posted seven runs in the bottom of the second to tie the game. Matt Hepperle and Travis Gates came on in relief and gave up just one run while striking out seven the rest of the way as Prescott got the 10-8 win. Luke Tobin went 3-for-5 with two RBIs. Hepperle was the winning pitcher and also drove in two runs. Cooper Magnett and Jack Burton each had two RBIs. Ryan Elliott scored three runs.

Prescott is 9-3 overall on the season and 2-0 in Grand Canyon Region play. They are home next Tuesday to face Mohave.
