Prescott Softball Smashes Mohave


They scratched out a run here and a run there . . . and kept on scratching out runs the rest of the day. When the game ended, the Prescott softball team had trampled Mohave by the score of 13-2.

Mariah Smolnikar, Kennedy Carr, and Cameron Scrivener each drove in two runs. Gracie Pereira went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Mickey Morgan and Riley Crockett both had an RBI and scored two runs. RJ Parra got the win in the circle, striking out seven. At the plate, she went 2-for-3 with an RBI and three runs scored.

The win puts Prescott’s overall record at 10-7 for the season. Next up is round two with Mohave, which will take place at Prescott High School tomorrow at 4 pm. The Lady Badgers then travel again to the western part of the state Friday to play at Lee Williams. Prescott will then host the Lady Vols next Monday.
