MATFORCE is putting on another Dump the Drugs Day. It takes place on April 27th. This event gives folks the chance to safely dispose of prescription drugs they no longer need. Prescott Valley Police Headquarters and Cottonwood Police Headquarters will accept drop-offs of prescription drugs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 27th.
For anyone who misses this event, drop boxes for prescription medication are available anytime at the headquarters of the Prescott, Prescott Valley, and Chino Valley Police Departments, the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, and Yavapai College’s Prescott Campus.
Since 2008, more than 43,000 pounds of prescription medication have been collected during Dump the Drugs Days.
