Man Arrested for Allegedly Shooting at YCSO Deputies

Gunshots cut short a traffic stop by Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies Saturday night in Humboldt.

According to YCSO, the deputies stopped a motorist in the JT’s Septic parking lot. While attempting to conduct a narcotics investigation and waiting for a K9 unit, the deputies heard two gunshots fired in their direction. They decided to conclude the traffic stop and let the driver leave so they could focus on the shooting.

Deputies soon located the suspect, 19-year-old Joshua Booth, and his vehicle and took him into custody without further incident. Multiple firearms and shell casings were found next to the driver inside of the vehicle. Booth was arrested on numerous felonies, including aggravated assault and weapons charges.
