Quick action by Forest Service fire personnel stopped a wildfire from growing in Crown King. The Tower Fire broke out Thursday, prompting the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office to alert nearby residents to be ready to evacuate. The blaze consumed about ten acres before fire personnel brought it under control. The cause of this wildfire is not known at this time.
