The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office announced the death of one of its deputies, Jesse Hubble. He passed away from natural causes at the age of 47 at his home Wednesday morning.
Deputy Hubble began work with the Sheriff’s Office in July 2017. After graduating from the Training Academy, he was assigned to the northern area of the county in January 2018. He was also assigned as a field training officer in 2021 for newly hired deputies to the agency.
Hubble was a U.S. Navy veteran who received a Navy and Marine Corps Medal for heroism in 2007 for rescuing a navy pilot whose helicopter had crashed into the ocean. He was also a local youth sports volunteer and coach.
Deputy Hubble was well respected by his peers, outside law enforcement agencies, and the communities he served. He has been lauded by his superiors for his sound judgment in stressful situations, his calm and reserved demeanor, and his willingness to step up to assist in any capacity.
Last year, Deputy Hubble was given an award by the members of the American Legion Robert Fulton Post 57 of Ash Fork for his selfless commitment to the community.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, and two children.
