Another honor for an Embry-Riddle softball player. Emma Almadoba was named to the NAIA All-American Third Team.
This season for the Lady Eagles, Almadoba batted .435, the best average in the Cal Pac Conference. She also had three home runs and 38 RBIs, which was the third most in the conference. In addition, Almadoba was the Cal Pac leader in on-base percentage at .496, fifth in total bases with 71, and seventh in runs scored with 27.
Prior to her All-American recognition, Almadoba was voted the Cal Pac Conference Player of the Year, was named to the National Fast-pitch Coaches Association All-West Region Second Team, and made the College Sports Communicators All-District Academic Team.
A native of Tucson, Almadoba completed her junior year, and will return to Embry-Riddle next season.
