A wildland fire destroyed a home in Cornville. Units from the Verde Valley Fire District were dispatched to South Horton Drive just before 6 p.m. Saturday. Firefighters discovered a wildland fire in a backyard of the home, which had spread to the nearby house. Crews quickly extinguished the flames before they could spread to other structures.
No injuries were reported and the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
