One person was hospitalized following a residential fire in Cottonwood’s Pine Shadows community. According to the Verde Valley Fire District, the blaze broke out just before 2 a.m. Tuesday. Firefighters rescued one person from the home and quickly put out the fire before it could spread to nearby homes.
The person from the burning home was flown to a nearby hospital for treatment. The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
