The Prescott City Council Subcommittee on Water Issues got an update on the automatic meter reading infrastructure program at its meeting Tuesday.
Utilities Director Steve Olfers explained:
The cost of replacing the meters is 12 and a half million dollars from the capital improvement fund, aided by a three million dollar grant from the Water Infrastructure Finance Authority.
