Embry-Riddle athletes cleaned up in the weekly awards from the Great Southwest Athletic Conference.
Jamie Black of the women’s soccer team was named the conference offensive player of the week. In last Thursday’s match versus Arizona Christian, the Tucson native registered four goals to power the Lady Eagles’ 5-2 victory. For the season, Black has 14 goals. Her teammate, Annabelle Ruckle, was named the GSAC defensive player of the week for the third time this season. She had a total of 12 saves in Riddle’s wins over ACU and Ottawa last week. For the season, Ruckle has a 0.50 goals against average.
Finally, volleyball’s Katie Rolle picked up another GSAC setter of the week award. She recorded 45 assists in the Lady Eagles 3-2 win over Arizona Christian last Thursday. Rolle leads the conference in assists with 811.
