They played shutdown defense and dropped in bucket after bucket. That combination gave the Bradshaw Mountain boys basketball team the 67-35 victory last night over Combs. Cam Ranniker was the Bears’ leading scorer with 15 points. Preston Ranniker notched 12 points. Jayden Blasczyk put up 11 points, Kylin Jackson tallied 9 points, and Ryan Tannehill netted 8 points. The Bears are now 4-3 overall on the season.
It was a much closer game on the girls’ side. Bradshaw Mountain trailed Combs 18-16 at halftime. But in the second half, the Lady Bears jumped ahead of the Lady Coyotes and held on to the lead for the 34-29 triumph. Kalli Smith recorded 9 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 blocks. Presley Connolly posted 7 points and 5 rebounds. Bradshaw is now 2-1 on the season.
