Drug Bust in Cottonwood

A traffic stop in Cottonwood resulted in a large quantity of illegal drugs being taken off the street. Cottonwood police report that an officer pulled over a Chevy Silverado for speeding on South Main Street last Thursday, just before 10:30 a.m. The officer’s K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics in a tube of caulk with a false bottom. Inside the tube, the officer discovered 2.5 grams of meth, 0.5 grams of heroin, and three M-30 pills containing fentanyl.

But that was only the beginning. After the suspect, 55-year-old Jason Sabol, was booked into jail, personnel from Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking (PANT) executed a search warrant on Sabol’s home in Bridgeport. There they found 43 grams of meth and three pounds of marijuana. Sabol is charged with numerous drug offenses.
