City of Prescott officials expected repairs to Highway 89 between the Phippen and Willow Lake Road roundabouts to be completed around the end of the year. Instead, repair work on that stretch of the highway is now finished, and it is fully open to traffic.
Deputy Public Works Director Janet Ramsey says this about the earlier-than-expected completion of repairs:
Highway 89 had been closed due to a break in an effluent line. While the roadway is open again, there is no striping. Instead, reflective tabs will be used for the next few days until permanent striping can be applied.
