AZ Game & Fish Reminds Everyone Not to Feed Wildlife

The Arizona Game and Fish Department is putting out another reminder to not feed local wildlife. This comes after reports of several human-animal conflicts throughout the state.

While many of them have occurred in the Phoenix and Tucson areas, residents of Peeples Valley and Yarnell, southwest of Prescott, have reported a number of nuisance deer and javelina incidents due to people feeding them. Game and Fish officials say feeding wildlife is against the law.

To prevent human-animal conflicts, do not leave pet food or water bowls outside; properly secure your garbage containers so animals cannot get into them; do not leave pets unattended outside during dawn and dusk, and keep livestock and poultry in a secure area.
