Man Convicted on Drug Charges is Day 2 Fugitive on Catch 22

Yavapai Silent Witness’ Catch 22 program is in its second day, and Yavapai County law enforcement is asking for the public’s help to locate today’s fugitive, David Ornelas Jr.

After a traffic stop conducted by officers with the Cottonwood Police Department, Ornelas was arrested for possession of methamphetamines, drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and two counts of taking the identity of another.

In August of 2020, he was found guilty of these charges and placed on intensive probation supervision. Ornelas has violated the terms and conditions of his probation, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Ornelas is 39 years old, 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds, and has multiple tattoos. He has prior addresses in Flagstaff and the Verde Valley area.
