Work Resumes on I-17 Through Yavapai County

Now that the holidays are over, crews are back at work on the I-17 improvement project. That means drivers will once again have to deal with lane closures.

Northbound I-17 near New River Road and Table Mesa will be narrowed to one lane starting at either 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. and lasting until 6 a.m. through Friday to accommodate bridge work and the installation of noise walls. Southbound I-17 will be narrowed to one lane between Bumble Bee Road and Black Canyon City from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. through Saturday for bridge work and electrical work.

Motorists traveling through this stretch of the interstate should allow for extra time to reach their destination and be alert for construction personnel and equipment. This is part of the I-17 improvement project, which should be completed later this year.
