For the second time in three months, a bicyclist has been struck and killed by a vehicle in Prescott Valley.
Police report that on Sunday morning around 8:17 a.m., a man on a bicycle was riding near the intersection of Viewpoint Drive and Spouse Drive when he failed to yield to a vehicle, which struck the cyclist. Good Samaritans attempted life-saving measures on the victim until EMTs arrived, but the cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cyclist reportedly was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The victim’s identity has not been made public, and the investigation is ongoing.
Back in November, 14-year-old Gabriel Grande was struck and killed while on his bicycle on Viewpoint Drive near Long Mesa Drive.
