PHS Tennis Splits With Saguaro

After eking out a 5-4 win over Paradise Honors Tuesday, the Prescott boys tennis team found themselves in yet another tense situation, this time with Scottsdale Saguaro. Three of the Badgers’ singles matches went to third-set tiebreakers, but they pulled out each and every one of them. That resulted in a 7-2 victory for the Blue and Gold Thursday.

Prescott dropped the number one singles match and had to default number two doubles due to an injury. The Badgers are off to a 3-0 start to their 2025 season.

The result was different in the girls’ match, as Prescott lost to Saguaro 7-2. Alder Aten had a 6-4, 7-5 win in singles, then joined Juliette Gundermann for an 8-5 win in doubles. The Lady Badgers are now 2-1 on the season.

Next up for Prescott, they face Moon Valley next Tuesday. The boys are in Phoenix, and the girls are home.
