PUSD Trying to Help Students Who Are Chronically Absent

Students missing school on a regular basis is an issue in Arizona, as shown by a recent state report on the issue. Roughly 29 percent of K-12 students throughout the state are labeled chronically absent, meaning they miss ten percent of the school year.

Tenney says he wants the district to work with families to make sure kids attend school consistently.
