Last Saturday the Prescott baseball team walloped Westview 20-1. Tuesday, the Badger offense picked up where it left off . . . but not right away. After getting shut out by Lee Williams through the first two innings, Prescott tacked on three runs in the third inning. Then they scored again and again until they run-ruled the Volunteers in six innings, final score 10-1.
Adrian Sanderford got it done both on the mound and at the dish. He was the winning pitcher with eight strikeouts and drove in three runs. Nick Martin had an RBI and scored three runs. Lucas Tobin went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Cooper Magnett and Jacob Patterson each had an RBI.
The Badgers are 9-4 overall on the season and 5-1 in Grand Canyon Region play. Prescott and Lee Williams have a rematch Friday in Kingman.
