Final awards of the school year for some Embry-Riddle basketball players. Jake Klingler of the men’s team was named to the College Sports Communicators All-District Academic Team. He carried a 4.0 GPA while majoring in management information systems.
During his Riddle career, Klingler recorded 942 points and hit 198 three-pointers.
On the women’s side, four players made the All-District Academic Team. They are Mehgan Strickler, Ella Schott, Hannah Urbano, and Micaela Hidalgo. Urbano and Hidalgo majored in global security and intelligence studies, Schott is an applied biology major, and Strickler is a forensic psychology major.
All four players are in their senior seasons at Riddle. All four players were also named to the All GSAC Academic Team this past season.
