The Arizona Department of Transportation is continuing the nearly $9.2 million pavement improvement project along Highway 89A, better known around town as Fain Road. This stretch between 89A and Highway 69 in Prescott Valley is getting some much-needed attention.
The work includes milling and filling, spot repairs, and a two-pass micro-surfacing overlay to help extend the life of the road. Crews will also be replacing pavement markings and handling other updates to keep things smooth and safe.
Expect work between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, though nights and weekends might occasionally see activity too. One lane in each direction will remain open, so major closures are not expected.
The project is scheduled to be finished sometime in early summer.
