They had stellar performances in the classroom to go along with their stellar performances on the field. Five members of the Embry-Riddle softball team were named to the College Sports Communicators All-District Academic Team. They are Leah Salas, Vanessa Brink, Autumn Sulusi, Lily Anderson, and Jade Bayless.
In addition, Salas was named to the CSC All-American Academic Team. Salas finished her junior season with a 3.55 GPA while majoring in Global Securities and Intelligence Studies. She was also voted the GSAC Player of the Year and named to the NAIA All-American Second Team.
Brink graduated with a GSIS degree and was named the GSAC Pitcher of the Year. Sulusi left Embry-Riddle with a degree in Air Traffic Management and was an all-conference selection. Anderson graduated with a degree in Forensic Accounting and a 4.0 GPA, and Bayless had a 3.93 GPA while majoring in Forensic Psychology.
