Six ERAU Golfers Named Academic All-Americans

It’s safe to say they are among the smartest golf teams in the country. Six players from the Embry-Riddle women’s squad were named All-American Scholar-Athletes by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association.

They are Libby Axen, Kaetlin Halseth, Maisy Alsen, Charlotte Griffin, Olivia Zamarripa, and Bella Mantini. All of them had a GPA of 3.50 or higher and competed in 50 percent of the team’s matches.

Axen graduated with a degree in forensic accounting and fraud examination; Halseth finished seventh at the GSAC Tournament and was an all-conference selection; Alsen earned a degree in mechanical engineering; Griffin is majoring in aeronautical science. Zamarripa is an aeronautical science major who was named the GSAC Freshman of the Year; and Mantini is a data science major who wrapped up her freshman season as the individual conference champion and an NAIA All-American Third Team selection.
