It appears many people are taking advantage of the free sandbags offered by the Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority during the monsoon.
CAFMA Spokeswoman Kathy Goodman tells The News while they don’t have specific numbers, the best guess as to how many people get sandbags from them:
Goodman says if you do want free sandbags, bring a shovel with you, because you will have to fill them yourself. Sandbags are available at fire stations across Yavapai County. To find your closest station, check online at yavapaiready.gov/sandbags.
