For anyone who has to journey to the northern part of Yavapai County, ADOT officials announced they are kicking off a major repaving project on I-40 west of Seligman.
Starting Monday, westbound I-40 will be reduced to one lane between Fort Rock Road and Markham Wash Bridge — covering a 16-mile stretch of roadway. The lane restrictions will run from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 6 to 10 a.m. on Fridays. These restrictions are expected to last through the end of the year. Ramp closures may also occur intermittently.
ADOT urges drivers to slow down, stay alert, and watch for work crews in the area.
